The composition of the Russian Northern Fleet in 1941

American naval attaché at Moscow, Russia reported in November 1941 that the Russian Northern Fleet consisted of 5 new, 4 old and 3 small destroyers, submarines: 7 King-class, 2 Love, 7 Dog, 6 Mike and 2 Sail, 1 submarine tender, 1 min layer, 4 minesweepers, 16 netlayers, 1 survey vessel, 3 PG’s, 8 trawlers, 15 patrol vessels and 12 icebreakers.
