Japanese cargo ship (ex-Shingo Maru 1917-1939) Singo Maru 1939-1942

Call sign JSVO. Built by Uraga Dock Co. Ltd., Uraga, Japan in May 1917. and sunk by the American submarine USS Halibut (SS-232) off Honshu on 16 December 1942. Gross tonnage 4,740 tons, under deck 4,034 tons, net tonnage 3,423 tons and as dimensions 360,0 x 51.0 x 28.4 x 8 (light)-23 (loaded feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, 358 nhp, coal bunker capacity 1,700 tons, and a range of 15,000 nautical miles/10 knots.
