Ltd, Kobe, Japan on 25 October 1922, launched on 26 October 1923, completed on 15 July 1924 and sunk in the South China Sea by the American submarine USS Sealion (SS-315). Also called a provision carrier. Gross register tonnage 7,000 tons and as dimensions 144.8 x 18.6 x 8.5 metres. The propulsion consisted of 1 reciprocating steam engine and 8 boilers supplying 10,000 shp allowing a speed of 22.1 knots
