1. Laid down by Kawasaki Dockyard Co. Ltd, Kobe, Japan on 25 October 1922, launched on 26 October 1923, completed on 15 July 1924 and sunk in the South China Sea by the American submarine USS Sealion (SS-315). Also called a provision carrier. Gross register tonnage 7,000 tons and as dimensions 144.8 x 18.6 x 8.5 metres. The propulsion consisted of 1 reciprocating steam engine and 8 boilers supplying 10,000 shp allowing a speed of 22.1 knots
