Laid down with yard number 130 by Yokohama Dock Co., Yokohama, Japan on 24 December 1924, launched on 11 July 1925, completed on 11 July 1925, chartered by the army as emergency troop transport 10/11-end February 1932, served in 1937-1938 as troop transport,requisitioned by the army as troop transport Alloted Army No. 76 on 26 October 1941 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Cabrilla (SS-288) in the Celebes Sea on 17 July 1944. Gross tonnage 3,145 tons, under deck 2,700 tons, net tonnage 1,881 tons and dimensions 352.0 x 46.0 x 27.0 x 9 (light)-21 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, 284 nhp, single screw, coal bunker capacity 455 tons, range 6,000 nautical miles/12.5 knots and speed 12.5 (normal cruising)-15 (maximum) knots.
