American 5-mast schooner Rebecca Palmer 1901-

Built by William F. Palmer of Dorchester, Massachusetts, USA at Bath, Maine in 1901 and finally foundered. Gross tonnage 2,556 tons, net tonnage 2,125 tons and dimensions 251 x 46 feet. The Dutch newspaper Scheepvaart dated 28 January 1903 referred to an item dated New York 17 January reporting the the 5-mast schooner Rebecca Palmer of Baltimore at Boston received 6 cents/ton over 4,000 tons during 41 days or daily 240 US dollars demurrage. Lloyd’s call sign KQPV, built by Cobb, Butler&Co., Rockland for W.F. Palmer of wood, dimensions 260.4 x 46.1 x 23.1, homeport Boston.
