Dutch passenger-cargo ship Tohiti 1929-1945

Call sign PKHE. Launched by N.V. C. van der Giessen&Zonen’s Scheepswerven, Krimpen aan den IJssel, Netherlands with yard number 603 on 23 November 1929, delivered on 1 May 1930 to the N.V. Koninklijke Paketvaart-Maatschappij (KPM), Batavia, Dutch East Indies, set on fire and sunk during a Japanese air attack on Tjilatjap, Dutch East Indies on 5 March 1942, salvaged by the Japanese but not repaired and in December 1945 left behind. Gross tonnage 982.00 tons, under deck 629 tons, net tonnage 684.00 tons, deadweight 567.00 tons, grain capacity 53.000 cubic feet and bale capacity 43.000 cubic feet and as dimensions 203.30 x 34.110 x 11.60 feet.
