Japanese fish meal and oil fishery in the Eastern Bering Sea in April 1966

Only one Japanese fish meal and oil fleet remained in the Eastern Bering Sea by months end. This fleet (composed of a factoryship and 30 trawlers) fished the Bristol Bay flat north of Unimak Island. Of the other fleet in this fishery, one returned to Japan and the second shifted to the shrimp fishery.
