British screw steam frigate HMS Raleigh 1871-1905

Designed by the Director of Naval Construction 1863-1870 Sir Edward James Reed (20 September 1830 Sheerness-30 November 1906 London). Laid down by Chatham Dockyard, Kent on 8 February 1871, launched on 1 March 1873, completed in June 1874, commissioned on 11 July 1874, stricken in 1901 and sold to be broken up on 11 July 1905.
