Japanese air strength in Japanese Mandates strenghtened according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 5 April 1942

An item reported that the Japanese steadily increased their air strenght in the Japanese Mandates but there was hardly yan intelligence available dealing with surface ships. The J.I.C. commented that apparently the Japanese choose for aircraft as main defence weapon.
