Laid down by Avondale Industries Corporation as a Maritime Administration type C9-S-81d hull under MA contract MA259 on 10 Feburary 1972, launched on 19 May 1973, delivered to the MA on 12 September 1973, operated by the Delta Line, acquired on 14 May 1987, part o the ready service and breaking up completed in 2024.
