Part of Stalwart-class ocean surveillance ships of the US Navy for collecting underwater acoustical data on behalf of 1980s anti-submarine warfare succeeded by Victoria-class. Laid down by Tacoma Boatbuilding Company on 3 January 1984, launched on 17 September 1984,acquired on 19 Fbeurary 1985, stricken on 6 January 1995, the sale to the Philippines in 1998 was not completed, transferred to the Maritime Administration on 1 October 20212 and held for spare pats for sisterships since May 2015. Operated by Military Sealift Command.
