Italian new building of submarines and torpedo boats reported on 7 April 1937

American naval attaché at Rome, Italy reported on 7 April 1937 No. 179 that the Italian Ministry of Marine stopped with supplying information dealing with new building. The following newly built units were commissioned:

Submarines Onice, Diaspro, Turchese, Corallo, Perla, Gemma, Berillo and Ambra prior to 1 February and during February Iride, Malachite and during March Aradam and Axim.

Torpedo boats Sagittario, Vega, Andromeda, Antares, Castore, Altair and Aldebaran prior to 1 February and Cigno during March.
