The German embassy at Tokyo, Japan wrote on 28 October 1935 to the Chef der Marineleitung at Berlin referring to the Japanese monhtly magazine Yushu that the inland gunboat Junten, part of the riverine flotilla, built in 1934, tonnage 270 tons, speed 13.0 miles, flatt-bottomed and an armament of (anti aircraft) guns, machineguns, search lights and wireless devices.
