Contacts met enemy submarines made at Hawaii according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 22 December 1941

An item referred to CINCPAC reporting that an oil slick was sighted that day off the entrance to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The day before was after contact made with a submarine responded with depth charges. South of Oaha was ‘tonight’ also made contact with a submarine and attacked.
