Enemy submarines attacking merchant ships in the eastern vicinity of Trinidad according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 3 August 1942

An item reported that in the past few days most of the time cargo vessels in the eastern vicinity of Trinidad were attacked, especially when unescorted by the 6 enemy submarines which seemed to be active in this area.
