Typer 23 frigate or Duke-class preceded by Type 22 frigate and succeeded by Types 26 and 31-32 frigates (the latter in design phase, ordered in December 1989, laid down at Swan Hunter, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom on 18 January 1991, launched on 4 February 1992, commissioned on 13 May 1994 and in May 2024 announced that she probably would be retired and broken up.
