An item referred to M/A London reporting that a British force consisting of 3 cruisers and 14 destroyers sailed out for the Italian naval force underway to Derna, Libya while escorting 4 merchant ships. According to the British they made contact at 6:00 P.M. 18 December however losing the contact a hour later.
