In the article “Folgerungen aus den Operationen der japanischen Flotte (part 2) the author described the war between Russia and Japan (8 February 1904-5 September 1905) which was disastrous for Russia with an annihilated navy. He pointed out the ‘plus and mins’ of the armament versus armor and finally what kind of future warships needed to be built.
Dimensions 125 x 20 x 5.6 (height deck above water) metres and displacement 10,000 tons.Armour belt 100-200mm, sides 150mm, conning tower fore 300mm, conning towers sides and aft 150mm, 30.5cm turreet 300mm, roof 30.5xm 150mm, 24cm gun turret 200mm and roof 150mm and armour deck 70mm. Armament 2x1-305.cm L/45, 18x1-10.5cm L/45 and 10-6.6cm L/45 guns. No foremast but two signaalmasts. Trial speed 23 miles.
