Japanese cargo ship Yubari Maru 1930-1942

Sister ships Sorachi Maru-Yubari Maru (1930). Call sign JFKC. Built by Mitshui Bussan Kaisha Ld. Tama Dockyard in 1930, requisitioned by the navy in August 1941, registered as collier in September 1941 and sunk by Dutch aircraft in the harbour of Koepang, Timor, Dutch East Indies in March 1942. Gross tonnage 4,109 tons, under deck 3,419 tons, netto tonnage 2,489 tons, deadweight 6,353 tons and as dimensions 351.5 x 49.0 x 27.7 x 7 (light)-23 (loaded) feet. Reciproating propulsion, single screw, horsepower 241 nhp, coal bunker capacity 476 tons, range 6,000 nautical miles/10.5 knots and speed 10.5 (normal cruising)-12 (maximum) knots.
