Dutch tanker Anastasia 1930-1942 (Takehuni Maru 1942-1944)

Call sign PCQM. Launched by NV Burgerhout’s Machinefabriek&Scheepswerf, Rotterdam, Netherlands with yard number 123 onWednesday afternoon 9 October 1930, delivered in December 1930 to the Nederlands Indische Tankstoomvaart Maatschappij, The Hague, Netherlands, scuttled by own crew at Tandjong Priok, Dutch East Indies on 3 March 1942, salavged by the Japanese on 30 October, repaired and commissioned as Takehuni Maru and lost when striking a mine laid (on 8 July 1944) by the British submarine HMS Porpoise off the north-east coast of Sumatra on 10 September 1944. Gross tonnage 3,029 tons, under deck 2,282 tons, netto tonnage 1,605 tons, deadweight 3,900 tons and as dimensions 305.8 x 50.1 x 19.3 x 17.7(loaded) feet. Diesel propulsion, two screws, horsepower 379 nhp, oil bunker capacity 212 tons. Trunk-decked. Carried oil in bulk.
