Petroleum Maatschappij ‘La Corona”, The Hague, Netherlands on 10 April 1935, seized by the Japanese auxiliary cruisers Aikoku Maru and Hokoku Maru in the Indian Ocean wihile underway from Geraldton, West Australia tot Abadian, Persian Gulf on 9 May 1942, brought to Tarakan on 30 May, became a Japanese auxiliary naval tanker (as decided by the Prize court at Yokosuka) on 15 August and sunk by American aircraft off Palau on 30 March 1944. Gross tonnage 7,987 tons, under deck 7,233 tons, netto tonnage 4,754 tons and as dimensions 463. x 59.3 x 33.9 x 28 (loaded) feet. Diesel propulsion, single screw, horsepower 502 nhp and speed 11 (normal cruising) knots.
