Part of Wakatake-class preceded by Minekaze-class succeeded by Kamikaze-class. Slightly modified Momi-class and rated as second class destroyer. Planned 13 but 5 cancelled and 8 completed. Laid down by Ishikawajima Shipyards on 15 May 1922, launched on 14 April 1923, completed/commissoned on 31 May 1924, converted into the Patrolboat No. 46 (Dai-46-Go shokatei) on 1 February 1940 and sunk by the American submarine USS Greenling at Irozaki on 10 November 1944.
