Part of Wakatake-class preceded by Minekaze-class succeeded by Kamikaze-class. Slightly modified Momi-class and rated as second class destroyer. Planned 13 but 5 cancelled and 8 completed. Laid down by Maizuru Naval Arsenal on 15 March 1922, launched on 21 October 1922, completed/commissoned on 21 December 1922 and sunk by the American submarine USS Razorback at Bashi Channel on 30 December 1944 and stricken on 10 February 1945.
