Jane’s Fighting Ships 1958-1959 mentioned a frigate called Shen Yang which was a former Japanese corvette or No. I type ex-Yung An, ex-Mukden and ex-No. 81. A contemporary ONI mentioned a Kaibokan no. 1-class of the Chinese navy. Wikepedia published a note type with the Japanese C escort ship the fifth type Kaibokan in fact a simplified Ukuru-class design. Laid down with programme number 2441 as ship No. 81 by Maizuru Naval Arsenal on 7 August 1944, launched on 15 October 1944, completed on 15 December 1944, decommissioned on 5 October 1945, surrendered to Nationalist China on 29 August 1947, renamed Yuan, choose for the side of Communist China on 13 February 1949 and renamed Shengyang and finally decommissioned in 1980.
