New Japanese minelayer/minesweeper Arima delivered to the navy according to the Australia Station Intelligence Summary dated 1 February 1956

An item reported that the Japanese 630 ton minelayer/minesweeper Arima launched in July 1955 was handed over to the the Maritime Self Defence Force on 27 December 1955. Crew numbered 74 men and armament consisted of 2x2-4cm guns, 2-2cm gns, 2 K guns and sonar. Japanese 1953-1954 Budget.(1)
