An item reported that enemy submarine activities in the Eastern Pacific restarted again regarding the sinking of the American tanker USS Neches 100 miles west south west of Honolulu.(1) Near Point Reyer, off San Francisco was an enemy submarine sighted and the J.I.C. commented that apparently not all submarines were withdrawn from the American west coast but possib;e 1-2 stayed behind.
