In a letter dated 13 April 1942 No. 1329 to the O.K.M./1 Abteilung Skl. was the so-called ‘Etappen’-organisation of the navy described. In the attachment were the blockade runners decribed used for this purpose. Supply ship for the submarine U-109 at Cadiz, Spain on 21-22 July 1941 86.6 cubic metres gasoline, 2.8 cubic metres lubrication oil, 2.6 cubic metres drinking water, 3 ‘deminions’ destilled water, 1 provisions order and 3 torpedoes with equipment. Between 31 July-1 August and 1-2 August the U-331 48 cubic metres gasoline, 2.8 ton drinking water, 1 torpedo. The first night meet the ships too late so supplying was the next night to be continued. The U-564 on 14-15 October 118 ton gasoline, 3 ton lubrication oil, 120 litres destilled water and 2.5 ton provisions. The U-204 on 15-16 October 105 ton gasoline 3 ton lubrication oil, 2.5 ton provisions, 6 torpedoes and transferred 2 wounded men. On 27-28 November at Cadiz the U-652 88 ton gasoline 1.5 ton lubrication oil and one set charts for the Mediterranean.
