Japanese flying boats attacked Amboina, Dutch East Indies according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 8 January 1942

An item reported that 8 Japanese flying boats attacked Amboina, Dutch East Indies. The J.I.C. commented that Amboina was the main trading center if the eastern part of the Dutch East Indies and an operational base of the Dutch army air force.
