Portuguese destroyer Lima stationed at Ponte Delgado, Azores in June 1941

In his letter No. 855 dated Lisbon 8 July 1941reported the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin the marine traffic at Ponte Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, Portugal the Portuguese destroyer Lima.(1) Arriving on 1 june coming from Horto, Fayal, gross register tonnage 1,239 tons. Remained there stationed with the destroyer Douro.

1. Part of Douro-class preceded by Guadiana-class succeeded by Antioquia-class, based on design of HMS Ambuscade, launched by Yarrow, Scotstoun, Scotland on 29 May 1933, commissioned on12 October 1933 and stricken early 1960s.
