In his letter No. 1932 dated 26 October 1942 referred the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin to the newspaper Primeiro de Janeiro, Poro dated 21 October 1942 reporting that the firm Belo e Morais, Aveiro owners of the sunk sailing ship Maria da Gloria used the insurance compensation to buy the sailing ship Navegador for 2,700,000.00 escudos. The Navagador was lying under repair at a shipyard at Gafanha de Ilhayo and was to completed begore the next stock fish campaign.
