Anonymous cruisers sighted of Easter Island according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 31 December 1941

An item reported that near Easter Island on 28 December two unidentified cruisers were sighted. The J.I.C. commented that this was a Chilean dependency.
