In his letter dated Lisbon dated 16 November 1940 No. 930 to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine wrote the German Marineattaché Portugal that according to the newspaper Seculo, Losbon dated 15 November 1940 the Brazilian passenger ship Bagé with about 200 passengers arrived on 14 November 1940 for the return voyage towards Brazil
