An item reported that British aircraft sighted at Georgetown, Penang, Malaya 250 small boats and 50 barges and nearby Sungei Patani 70 single engine and 50 twin engine aircraft. The J.I.C. commented that this suggested an air supported troop transport over sea in the Strait of Malacca.
