In his letter No. 1932 dated 26 October 1942 referred the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin to the newspapers Diario de Lisboa, Diaro da Manhã, Seculo Diario de Noticias, A Voz and Jornal do Comercio, Lisbon dating 23/24 October 1942 reporting that in the naval arsenal at Alfeite on 23 October a new modern trawl motor fishing vessel for a private firm was to be launched. Lenght 45 metres, displacement 500 ton. On 24 October was a similar vessel launched. Both vessels were the 5th and 6th of ocean going fishing vessels built at the naval arsenal built in the last 3 years with a total displacement of 9,600 ton.
