Portuguese steamship Cubango underway from Lisbon, Portugal towards Africa in November 1940

In his letter dated Lisbon dated 16 November 1940 No. 930 to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine wrote the German Marineattaché Portugal that according to the newspapers Diario de Noticias and Seculo, Lisbon dated 13 and 15 November 1940 the Portuguese steamship Cubango departed fully loaded towards Africa. On board were 8 crew members of the sunk Belgian steamship Kabalo. In the meantime was she returned with engine problems.
