Museum ship at Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina 4 May 2025
Building ordered in 1874, launched by Laird Brothers, Birkenhead on 6 March 1874, commissioned on 5 July 1874, built as a gunboat but served as training ship, modernized as a steam rescue vessel for the Antarctic region in 1903, decommissioned in 1926, converted into a floating ammunition barge, restored to become a museum in 1954, stricken from naval service became she an official museum ship in 1967.
