Former US 136 feet-class built of wood between 1942-1943 transferred to China in 1948. Displacement 215 tons and as dimensions 136 x 24 1/2 x 6 feet. Armament consisted of 1-3” gun, 2-2cm guns and 2 D.C.T.’s. Propulsion consisted of 2 GM diesels supplying 1,000 bhp allowing a speed of 13 knots. Crew numbered 50 men. Fitted out as gunboats or as minesweepers. In 1958 were the former YMS 339, 346, 367, 393 and 2017 (?) still in service according to Jane’s Fighting Ships 1958-1959.
YMS-339 ordered on 11 April 1942, laid down by Seattle Ship Building and Dry Dock Co., Seattle, washington, USA on 8 March 1943, launched on 8 May 1943, commissioned on 25 September 1943, transferred to Nationalist China on 30 June 1984.
