Part of the Tejo-class. Designed byFrench naval engineer Alphonso Croneau. Laid down at the Naval Arsenal, Lisbon, Portugal in 1901, launched in 1904, commissioned on 18 April 1904, tests completed in 1906, converted into a full-fledged destroyer between 1915-1917 (which was allready in 1912), decommissioned on 14 March 1927 and broken up. Originally called a torpedo gun boat and to act as a gunboat, torpedo boat and destroyer.
