USA transferring destroyers to Nationalist China according to the Australia Station Intelligence Summary dated 1 February 1955

An item reported that the US Navy was to transfer another two destroyers, probably Benson-class, to Nationalist China. (1)

Note

1. On 26 February 1954 were the Benson-class destroyers USS Hilary P. Jones D 427 (Han Yang) and Benson DD 421 (Lo Yang) transferred. Followed on 28 July 1955 by the Gleaves-class destroyer USS Rodman DD 456 (Hsien Yang)
