Laid down by Federal Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, Kearny, New Jersey, USA on 4 June 1934, launched on 28 September 1935, commissioned on1 October 1936, decommissioned on 16 December 1946, stricken on 7 April 1947 and sold on 6 January 1948.
