British destroyer HMS Whirlwind returned home from Denmark according to the weekly appreciation of matters of naval interest No. 61 for the week ended 14 February 1920

An item reported the departure on 14 February of the British destroyer HMS Whirlwind from Copenhagen, Denmark towards Portland.(1)

Note

1. D30. Ordered on 9 December 1916, laid down in May 1917,launched by Swan Hunter on 15 December 1917 and sunk by the German submarine U-34 south west of Ireland on 5 July 1940. Admiralty W-class destroyer preceded by S and Parker classes and succeeded by Thornycroft type destroyer leaders Ambuscade and Amazon.
