An item reported that the navy yard at Den Helder, Netherlands was working at half capacity. At the moment were Dutch minesweepers and Allied ships being repaired.(1)

1. Due to the existing navy yard and theimportant naval harbour was the city during the Second World War heavily bombed, first during the German invasion in May 1940 and since then by the Allies. Canadian troops entered the city on 8 May 1945. The Dutch government decided in 1947 that Den Helder was the major Dutch naval harbour.
