German battleship Bismarck battling to survice according to the Dutch newspaper Agrarisch nieuwsblad dated Tuesday 27 May 1941

An item dated Berlin, Germany 27th referred to an announcement of the German supreme command reporting that since Monday evening 21.00 o’clock the German battleship Bismarck again was involved in a heavy battle against an enemy majority.(1)

Note

1. Part of Bismarck-class fast battleships preceded by Scharnhorst-class succeeded by planned H-class. Laid down by Blohm&Voss, Hamburg, Germany on 1 July 1936, launched on 14 February 1939, commissioned on 24 August 1940 and scuttled after being severe damaged in battling the British fleet in the North Sea on 27 May 1941.
