Thai frigates preparing visit to India according to the Australia Station Intelligence Summary dated 1 March 1955

An item reported that proposals were made for a training voyage in April 1955 by the Thai frigates Tachin, Prasae and Maeklong with totally 200 cadets on board in response on the succesful visit to Thailand by four Indian frigates in 1954. The planning was Singapore-Penang, Malaysia-Colombo, Ceylon-Bombay, India-Karachi, Pakistan-Calcutta, India-Madras, India-Trincomalee, Ceylon and Rangoon, Burma.
