British submarine HMS Triad repaired at Stavanger, Norway in December 1939

An item reported that the British submarine HMS Triad was placed on the slip at Stavanger, Norway on 1 December to repair her on 27 November damaged diving rudders. The next day she could leave the slip arriving at Rosyth, Scotland on early 4 December.(1)

1. N53. Part of T-class preceded by Grampus-class succeeded by U-class, laid down by Vickers Armstrong, Barrow on 24 March 1938, launched on 5 May 1939, commissioned on 16 September 1939 and sunk in the Mediterranen probably by the Italian submarine Enrico Toti in the night of 14/15 October 1940.
