Project No. 14. Part of No. 7-class (Dai Nana Go-gata Sokatei) preceded by No. 13-class succeeded by No. 19-class. Built under the Maru 3 Keikaku/Third Fleet Replenishment Programme of 1937 as No. 50. to replace stricken destroyer minesweepers. Laid down by Uraga Dock Company on 11 December 1937, launched on 28 May 1938, completed on 15 February 1939, scuttled by the British Royal Navy at Singapore on 10 July 1946 and stricken on 10 August 1946.
