American preliminary design for a destroyer dated 14 January 1913

Displacement 1,090 tons and as dimensions 310 (waterline) x 30.5 (outside of plating) x 9.5 (mean draught) feet. Block coefficient .425. Long coefficient .566. Horsepower at required speed of 29.5 knots -8,949 ehp. Range 2,500 nautical miles/20 knots. Armament consisted of 3x1-10.16cm/4” quick firing guns, 4x2-53.34cm/21” torpedo tubes on deck. Design made up for the O’Brien-class destroyers (Nos. 51-56) to be built under the Fiscal Year 1913 preceded by Aylwinn-class succeeded by Tucker-class.
