Japanese submarine chaser No. 2 1933-1945

Part of No. 1-class succeeded by No. 4-class. Sister ships No. 1 and 2. Ordered under the 1931 First Fleet Replenishment Programme. After the torpedo boat Tomodzure capsized in a gale on 12 March 1934 was she rebuilt in 1935 with a result a decreased speed and an increased displacement. Laid down by Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipyard on 9 June 1933, launched on 20 December 1933, completed on 25 March 1934 and sunk en torpedoed by the American submarine USS Blueback in the Bali Sea north of Lombok, Dutch East Indies on 27 June 1945.
