An item reported that the Japanese fleet seemed to have lost 2 cruisers, 1 destroyer and 2 transports in the battle off Bali, Dutch East Indies on 19 February.(1)

Note

1. The Battle of Badung Strait in the night of 19/20 February in which the Dutch cruiser Hr.Ms. Tromp was heavily damaged, the Dutch destroyer Hr.Ms. Piet Hein sunk and the American destroyer USS Stewart damaged and scuttled at Surabaya, Dutch East Indies while docked. Three Japanese destroyers and 1 transport were damaged.
