Project No. 14. Part of No. 7-class (Dai Nana Go-gata Sokatei) preceded by No. 13-class succeeded by No. 19-class. Built under the Maru 3 Keikaku/Third Fleet Replenishment Programme of 1937 as No. 54 to replace stricken destroyer minesweepers. Laid down by Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipyard on 28 May 1938, launched on 18 February 1939, completed on 15 August 1939, sunk by the American submarine USS Besugo off Flores, Dutch East Indies on 6 April 1945 and stricken on 25 May 1945.
